If you try to enlarge an image to a letter‑size page of 8.5 by 11 inches you would need a file, about 2550 by 3300 pixels, which is nearly nine megapixels just to meet the print‑quality threshold.

This is the reason that a photo that looks good when you right‑click and save it from a website always falls short when it is printed by a print shop.
