When someone reaches our pricing page, theyโ€™ve usually already decided they need help. The real challenge isnโ€™t choosing whether to get strategy support, itโ€™s picking the package for their specific problem. If you go with the package when you actually need the bigger one you end up exactly where you started, a month later. If you choose the package when the smaller one wouldโ€™ve worked you end up spending more, than necessary. Itโ€™s not about needing help. Itโ€™s about getting the help that fits.

We created two packages on purpose. It wasn't, about having tiers to boost sales. It was because the two common situations we come across really need different levels of structure. Hereโ€™s what each one includes. Hereโ€™s a simple way to decide which one fits your needs.

Neither package was created using a template. Both came from seeing the same two patterns happen over and over in client conversations. One was a question that needed a direct answer. The other was loose threads that needed to be brought together into something clear. If your situation does not clearly fit either of these descriptions yet that is okay. The right package usually becomes clear once you speak the problem loud to someone, outside the business.

Business Strategy Basic: $399

Basic is one focused session, about 90 minutes, built around a single decision. Should we raise prices. Is it time for a second hire. Does this new offer make sense. You walk in with the question, and you walk out with a clear answer and a short-written summary of what to do next.

There's no multi-week process here on purpose. If your problem can be stated in one sentence, you don't need three sessions and a 90-day roadmap to solve it, you need someone to look at it closely with you and help you decide. That's exactly what this package is for.

What you actually get after is a document, not a slide deck full of frameworks. It shows the recommendation the reasoning, for it and the specific next steps so you are not trying to remember what was said in the room a week later. Most clients tell us they use that document the day, which is really the point. A plan that sits unread does not help anyone however well it was argued in the session.

This is also the package most first-time clients start with even if they think the problem might be bigger. Itโ€™s a low-cost way to see how we work before signing up for anything. The session itself usually shows whether the issue is really contained or tied to something.

Business Strategy Growth: $999

Growth is for businesses that have, then one problem. In some situations, the problems are not separate all; they are three or four linked issues that affect each other. Marketing, sales and pricing get mixed up. No single conversation can untangle them all. Growth offers a 90โ€‘day program. The program includes three sessions, a written roadmap and checkโ€‘ins, on day 30 and day 60. These checkโ€‘ins help adjust the course before the finish line. This same structure was used in our 90-day roadmap case study.

Checkpoints matter a lot more than many people think. I have seen many projects fail because no one checks if the plan is still, on the track until it is too late to fix it. Checkpoints can keep projects on course. Help us spot problems early. Including that check-in, from the beginning is what keeps the roadmap from being another file that no one ever looks at again.

There's also room built in to adjust. The day 30 session isn't just a status update, it's a chance to change direction if the first month surfaced something the original plan didn't account for. Businesses rarely stay perfectly predictable for 90 days straight, so a roadmap that can't bend a little isn't much of a roadmap by day 60.

What Clients Usually Get Wrong When Choosing

The biggest mistake isn't picking a package by accident. Its choosing based on price of looking at the shape of the problem. Picking Basic because it costs less, when the real issue includes pricing, hiring and positioning usually means paying for another session and another one, after that. Over the few months each session fixes a different part of the same big mess.

The opposite mistake costs more upfront. Signing on for Growth when a single conversation would have settled things wastes both budget and time that didn't need to be spent. Neither mistake is really about judgment, it's about not having a clear way to tell the two situations apart before committing to one of them.

A Quick Way to Decide

Write down everything that's bothering you about the business right now. If it all traces back to one decision, Basic is almost certainly enough. If you end up with four or five things that don't obviously connect but all feel urgent, that's the shape Growth was built for. We covered this test in more depth in our piece on one-time sessions versus ongoing engagements, if you want to work through it more carefully before deciding.

Still Not Sure? Start With Basic

If you are really unsure, between the two options Basic is the choice almost all the time. Basic costs less use less of your time. Shows you exactly how the process works. Plenty of Growth clients started there first. You can see both packages laid out in full, with no surprises on pricing, on our pricing page, and the Business Strategy hub walks through how the whole service fits together.

Conclusion

Neither package is the better one. They're built for different shapes of problem. One tight, isolated decision deserves a focused session and nothing more. A tangle of issues needs structure, checkpoints and follow-through that comes with a longer engagement. Match the solution to the problem, not the problem, to the solution and the price tag stops being the part of this decision.
